![]() While we're on the subject, has anyone yoke mounted an iPad Air on the pilots side? If so, can you post a picture or two? I have an old iPad 1 which never fit comfortably but the after looking at the iPad Air I thought it might since it's about 3/4" narrower. So I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it's back down to 1.2 GB, but I'll keep an eye on that. Over time and the many updates it must not have deleted old charts. I've had fltplan GO installed on my iPad for a few years and last week I noticed that I had used up 4.5 GB of storage. Current IFR/ VFR charts that update easily (preferably automatically) 2. Here is the features I want/care about: 1. I know there is FlyQ, WingX, and FltPlan Go, maybe others Im missing. But I also have fltplan GO installed on my iPad - backup to pilot AND primary for checklists - and as primary on my android phone in a pinch or when I'm flying the little taildrager I have (not that I'm going to get lost 30 miles from my home field ). Im looking for PIREPS for the alternatives to Garmin Pilot and Foreflight. I like their interface best and I bought a GDL 39 for ADSB. Among the many features I really like the ability to overlay the prog charts on the map - neat! FltPlan has more than 18 years of general aviation experience, giving pilots access to the best support team in the business.I agree with Mooneymite - it's the only thing I use on the iPad for flight planning. FltPlan Go is a part of FltPlan's comprehensive system that includes free, web-based flight planning and filing and a full range of premium services. FltPlan’s 165,000-plus active, registered users file more than 55% of all N#-registered flight plans. FltPlan covers the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Panama, and parts of Venezuela and Columbia. *Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.įltPlan has grown into the largest flight planning company in North America.
